Stella & Jay 20th November 2021

Stella & Jay were married in the Centennial Park Column Gardens and celebrated across the road at the Laclan Reserve. It was an intimate, rustic and boho picnic style gathering styled by Carly Rose Weddings & Events. Due to the Covid pandemic they decided to only invite their closest family and friends, while keeping to an outdoor location. The day was absolutely gorgeous with soft gentle light post rain storm.

The cake we designed was simple & elegant, opting for a semi-naked rustic style and a single tier, the perfect size for their 30 guests. We matched the wedding colours using blush, coral, soft pink and green for the fluffy floral arrangement. We sourced the flowers at The Flowerroom in Newtown.

The picnic set up was absolutely beautiful and such a lovely way to celebrate in an intimate way. It was our pleasure to work with Stella & Jay can we wish them all the best with their lives ahead!

Bastian & Carlin 22/5/21

Bastian & Carlin are old friends of mine and I was absolutely honoured to be asked to make their wedding cake. It always feels extra special to be trusted with a loved ones milestone celebration.

They live in Newcastle and had their ceremony at a nearby park with a reception following at Fort Scratchley. Carlin made their invites, which had a lovely floral lining. We thought it would be a beautiful idea to incorporate some of the florals and colours in their cake. To serve the 70 guests we opted for a double height single tier cake with handprinted artwork and a super lush spray of fresh florals.

Bastian’s Aunt collected the cake from my studio in Leichhardt and drove it the four hours up to Newcastle. The cake arrived in perfect condition with no problems! I wish we could have attended the wedding and seen everything in person, but seeing how happy Bastian & Carlin are in the photos makes me so heart-warm. They are both absolutely gorgeous humans and I couldn’t be more happy for them.

Lumka & Cal 10/12/21

Lumka & Cal celebrated their wedding at Athol Hall in Mosman on the 10th of December 2021. It was a beautiful day, threatening to rain, but turned out just gorgeous.

They had a very relaxed and laid back style, which suited Athol hall perfectly. They decorated the room with beautiful native florals from Kobayashi Flowers. For the cake, they opted for a two tier semi-naked cake dressed with lots of flowers.

They sent me the most joyful collection of cake cutting photos, which honestly brings a huge smile to my cake decorator face! The cake was two tiers of zesty soft lemon cake with elderflower syrup and filled with creamy elderflower ganache.
