My wife & I were quite taken with the unique concept for cake that Harry and Megan had for their royal wedding and we wanted something quite similar: A layered meringue buttercream sponge cake with lemon curd and elderflower flavouring.
Many of the suppliers we enquired with insisted that the cake would fall apart in the hot spring weather and would not attempt it or that we would have to compromise one or more aspects of the cake.
Not willing to give up on our dream cake and settle with a cliché tasteless mud cake with fondant, we eventually found Greenberg and Co Cakes.
Rebecca was very considerate and accommodating to make our dream a reality which is not surprising for a supplier that works with local businesses and caters for vegans. Her communication was first-rate being quick to respond and coherent.
When the big day came Rebecca did not disappoint. The presentation was stunning and beautifully decorated with white roses and baby's breath. The cake tasted exquisite and balanced: the creamy buttercream, the crispy meringue, the lightly tart lemon curd and the elderflower to bring it all together.
We were 100% satisfied with the service that Rebecca provided. If you are looking a cake supplier that is willing to go above and beyond beautiful to make delicious cakes with a positive can-do approach, then we highly recommend Greenberg and Co Cakes.
Rebecca makes the most amazing cakes. They are always so moist and full of flavour. I always make sure I grab at least one slice of cake every month at the Sydney vegan market (sometimes I grab two…)
