Rachel & Lachlan began planning their wedding far in advance, which is always so wonderful. Unfortunately, they had to postpone an entire extra year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They were so excited to create a beautiful cake featuring delicious vegan cake flavours. Rachel had amazing ideas for incorporating lush florals and I absolutely loved working to create this cake for them! I’m so glad they were finally able to celebrate!
We decided on a large three tier cake finished with whipped white chocolate ganache. The cake was two tiers of red velvet cake with raspberry ganache and the largest tier in vanilla cake with passionfruit ganache. We left a touch of texture to create a soft relaxed look and paired with unique and interesting fresh flowers. My favourites to use were the mauve coloured cymbidium orchids, the fluffy cream roses and the soft pink dahlias. They matched really nicely the lush florals used throughout the room.
The entire reception was beautiful and Glenworth Valley is a stunning venue. It was so nice to walk around the grounds and have pats with some horses after the delivery.
