Erin & Merryn 18th June 2022

Rebecca Greenberg

I can’t believe it’s taken me a year and a half to post about Erin & Merryn’s wedding. Wow. Time slips by. I was honoured to make a cake for two of my lovely friends. Their wedding was magical, non traditional and so so so beautiful. It took place at a private venue in the Hunter Valley.

When we met up to chat about their cake they wanted something low key, relaxed and full of native florals to reflect their venue. Erin is vegan, many guests were gluten free, and Merryn’s mum has a cocoa allergy. We were so happy to be able to supply a cake that was not only beautiful and delicious, but met every guests requirements.

Beautiful family style table arrangements.

The cake sat amongst the long tables, fitting right in with a native floral posy.

The room was set with long family style tables and catered by Vegan Weddings and Events. Tenille creates the most delicious and epic vegan feasts with share plates for mains so you can have a little bit of everything. I had the pleasure of attending this wedding and I just cannot stop thinking about the food, even after all this time. It’s so so so delicious.

The cake.

Huge congratulations to Erin & Merryn who are soon to celebrate their two year anniversary!

Bridget & Hugo 22nd October 2022

I loved the brief for Bridget & Hugo’s wedding cake….Spring Flowers….and wow! Did their venue look gorgeous! The Lindesay House at Darling Point is a magnificent historic home with a beautiful sandstone patio overlooking a lush green lawn. The wedding was set up with long tables under a marquee and an abundance of…you guessed it…spring flowers.

The photos of the cake are absolutely stunning, really capturing the soft tones in the papery thin pressed flowers. Each flower is grown in my garden and hand pressed. The cake is finished in a fluffy Swiss meringue buttercream, the perfect canvas for the delicate flowers.

The flowers for the party featured dogwood, cosmos and delphiniums in soft white, pale blue and delicate pink.

It was my absolute pleasure to create a beautiful and delicious cake for Bridget, Hugo and their entire family to celebrate with. Congratulations!

Elle & Jules 16th July 2022

Rebecca Greenberg

Elle & Jules’ wedding was held at 12 Micron in Barrangaroo on a really beautiful and cool winter day. The room was decorated with gorgeous florals and soft subtle light filtered into the modern space. I’d been excitedly anticipating Elle & Jules’ wedding cake for about two years! They came to me interested in one of my earlier designs and I just couldn’t wait to use it an inspiration for something new and unique for them.

The cake was a massive two tier square cake with peach toned rice paper ruffles, watercolour painting and touches of edible 23k gold leaf. It was dressed with a simple and elegant stem of peachy toned phalenopsis orchids. They had a tier of gluten free vanilla cake with passionfruit ganache and a tier of gluten free red velvet cake with raspberry ganache.

The cake was such a fun design to create and I loved all the textural and painterly components. It looked structural and modern in the stunning dining room at 12 Micron.

Huge congrats to Elle & Jules on celebrating their wedding! xx
